    Toolmaker-Fitter, later Engine Fitter, variously of somewhere in the Midlands?, Neasden London (at least 1887-1891), Derby (1901), possibly Bedford?, (even Berlin?) and finally Portsmouth (in the Dockyards) no later than 1916 (daughter's marriage certificate).

The starting-point for this page came from Roger's notes from his conversations with his mother Rene, and a number of birth, marriage and death certificates that I acquired in the 1990s. A vast amount of the detail was provided in 2006, by my cousin on the Russell side, Anne Kratzmann in Kingaroy Qld (who is an absolute whizz at genealogy).
